Hi everyone, my name is Pam Halliburton I'm an Indiana Christian artist, but more important than that I'm a person who has struggled in life with having self-confidence to follow what was in my heart. I've felt like an artist my entire life and I followed that as a young person through high school and art school graduation. Art school was very disappointing and discouraging. I came away from art school thinking I wasn’t any good as an artist, so I could not follow what my heart was telling me to.
 

Well, jump ahead 22 years. I found myself at a time when I lost a really good friend, who provided encouragement and just plain fun in my life. I really didn't have any other people in my life who were encouraging and who got me out into the world. So, I forced myself to get back into the world and I took a two-hour pop-up art class from a local community organization on how to paint like Jackson Pollock. I never thought I understood him well. So maybe I'll try to learn about him and when I was in that class that evening, something in me broke free; whatever chains I was holding around my passion for creating art just broke away. When I could sit there and pour paint, splatter paint, dribble, and drizzle and do whatever freeing types of marks that I wanted to make was an amazing experience. I went home that night and started my art career. I never stopped painting and that was 11 years ago. Those negative thoughts from art school professors were no longer lingering in my head.

Plus, I realized the Christian woman that I am I have to create art, if not for me then for others I realized God gave me the ability to translate images and thoughts into reality and I want to continue to build upon that and to create art for his glory, not mine.
But at the same time, I also want to be an encouragement to others who maybe struggling with self-doubt. I want to create motivational inspirational images and products to share with other people to share my message in the form of art. I want others to find something that speaks to them in a personal way. I want others to fill the joy and the hope that I felt that night after that 2 hours painting class to continue on and to do something that lights their soul on fire.
